Content Design Lead (Payments)

Location:

Bellevue, Washington, United States
Austin, Texas, United States
Portland, Oregon, United States
San Francisco, California, United States
Requisition Number:
R0054443

As the Content Design Lead (Manager) for Payments, you’ll be defining and driving the end-to-end content experience for one of the most critical parts of our buyer’s journey—from the moment of transaction to the moment their purchase arrives at their doorstep.

As a full-stack content designer, you believe writing is designing. You see language as a design material and you get others to think the same. You’re energized by solving complex business and design problems with deceptively simple words. You actively seek opportunities to collaborate with cross-discipline partners and you genuinely embrace feedback with a growth mindset.

As a full-stack content leader, you have confidence without attitude. You guide and inspire younger content designers by asking them to think critically about their craft while helping them see the forest for the trees. You’ll help them define the margins, strategies, and outcomes in ambiguous problem spaces. And you’ll contribute to the larger content team’s content design system and guidelines to help us scale our work.

Basic qualifications

  • 6+ years professional experience in content-focused roles with 3+ of those years on product-focused UX content

  • Experience leading teams (formally or informally) through the design process, from early concept to launch

  • A portfolio of work demonstrating human-centered design thinking and solutions

  • Experience with product content strategy for web and mobile, including designing for accessibility and inclusivity, usability and A/B testing

  • Collaborates well with others and understands how to influence without authority

  • Excellent, highly creative communication and critical-thinking skills

  • Effective collaboration in cross-functional design and product teams

  • Management of multiple projects in a fast-paced and an ambiguous environment

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English, journalism, communications, marketing, human-centered interaction, or related field.

  • Working knowledge of Figma, Ditto, and Acrolinx
