The Design Lead for eBay End-to-End Customer Experience team works directly with eBay leaders to ensure eBay delivers the right priorities for a complete buyer and seller experience with eBay.

We do this by identifying focus areas to recognize customer problems, identifying gaps and opportunities in addressing customer problems, connecting dots between big initiatives and communicating points of view to senior leaders to influence planning.

About you

You have the ability to work independently, navigate uncertainty and switch between discovery and a strong point-of-view in short order. You have deep expertise in designing and iterating on customer experiences across many formats.

You love inventing compelling, non-conventional solutions and are a reliable advocate for people buying and selling with eBay. You are a systems problem solver in solving experience challenges that cut across a large set of features, platforms, channels and timeframes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner across organizational boundaries to discover and connect customer experiences to take on customer problems end-to-end.

  • Discover, analyze, connect and recommend customer experience opportunities across eBay.

  • Craft compelling narratives around customer needs and clearly articulate how your proposals meet customer needs in new ways.

  • Stay up to date on market trends, customer behavior and share insights with your team and leadership as appropriate.

Essential qualifications

  • Proven ability in customer experience design, design strategy, service design, experience planning or similar function.

  • Experience designing for small business, branded, retail or transactional products for web, iOS and Android platforms.

  • Experience with designing, prototyping and speaking publicly using Figma.
