The eBay Classifieds Motors team operates worldwide from our offices in Amsterdam and Berlin. As part of the product development team in Berlin Friedrichshain, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and have impact across all our markets by providing innovative capabilities for all of our apps and sites.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a new, innovative product and we are looking for an (Senior) Android Developer (f/m/d).
As an (Senior) Android Engineer in the eBay Classifieds Motors team, you will join a cross-functional team building platforms, experiences and tools that enable our users and enrich our motors marketplaces across the globe.
You will engage with your fellow teammates within the team and colleagues from the organization on features and newest developments.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
Help architect, build, iterate and run our global mobile multi-flavor Android application
Write stable, readable and well-structured code that is easy to review
Help to raise the overall skill and quality level through pairing and design/code reviews
Partner closely with front-end, back-end, iOS, Product and UX team members to continuously improve the global Android app
Identify and deliver simple and sound solutions to difficult problems
At least 2-4 years of professional Android app development experience
A strong feeling of ownership and a passion for polished user experience
Collaborative working style and open in communication
Excellent programming skills in Kotlin or Java
Experience with JUnit, Robolectric, Espresso
Understanding of object-oriented software design and design patterns
Good command of RxJava and functional programming
Familiar or willing to learn MVVM, Clean Architecture, MVI, Dependency Injection
Open-source contribution is a plus
Effective written and spoken communication skills in English
