In the Verticals team our Product Managers make large bets that solve hard problems and shape the future of global commerce.  We are looking for product people who can develop a compelling vision and then build on it at eBay scale in collaboration with our business, engineering and design partners. 

In this role you will own product direction for one or more of eBay’s core verticals (Luxury, Home etc) and drive our understanding of user, market and business needs.  You will create exciting roadmaps and press releases and help sell the vision to our highly cross-functional organization. You will help execute on the roadmap in collaboration with our partners and help us do the right thing for our users and our businesses.

What we are looking for 

  • 3-5 years of Product management experience preferably on the consumer side

  • Collaborative. You love working cross-functionally. Verticals products are woven into the fabric of eBay, end to end, and our PMs effectively drive projects with a lot of partners

  • Product and design sense. You’ll spend a lot of time with our designers and ideally should have shipped large scale and thoughtful UX

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, SQL, Excel and basic design tools

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are key. Our team constantly communicates with execs and you are expected to build and communicate vision, roadmap and execution plans.

  • Experience working on frontend/ UI products and working closely with a design team and iterating based on user feedback. Ideally you have worked in ecommerce and built buyer facing/ consumer facing products

  • Ability to think and work independently, demonstrate creativity and deliver quick results

  • History of building strong relationships with engineering, business partners, and operational users.

  • Comfort sorting through ambiguity in order to drive to practical business impact

  • Work with the larger cross-functional team to define the product strategy, business strategy, operation plan and detailed roadmap

  • Proficiency in basic data analysis - ie able to work with analytics partners to determine what tracking is needed, how the results will be reported etc

Duties and Responsibilities 


  • Set the vision and product roadmap for a core verticals team
  • Manage key communications to executives and align the global teams on overall strategy
  • Figure out what we should be building by meeting with eBay users and diving deep into data
  • Manage a scrum team of engineers to deliver projects on time
  • Manage large scale UX experiences with partner teams across desktop & mobile
  • Deliver results that are key to eBay’s business
