About the team:
In partnership with the businesses, we drive the purpose and success of eBay and its buyers and sellers. The team includes the company's global legal department, risk management program, and its policy group who interacts with content regulators, law enforcement, IP, corporate governance and SEC compliance, contracts, and other legal and government relations matters.
eBay’s Global Information Governance Team is seeking an intelligent, driven, and highly organized paralegal to fill a key role supporting litigation and investigations. This role will support eBay’s end to end discovery processes, including conducting custodian interviews, crafting and managing legal holds, supervising document reviews and productions, and the ultimate disposition of data at the close of its lifecycle. As part of this role, the individual will proactively assist with problem-solving related to development of more efficient and cost-effective eDiscovery processes and documentation. The role also requires regular communication, collaboration and coordination with in-house and outside counsel, internal clients, and eDiscovery vendors to coordinate and manage the discovery process.
This paralegal will partner with internal IT teams to execute on enterprise-wide information governance and technology projects. The role will contribute to the continued expansion of eBay’s Global Information Governance program and will coordinate with teams across the company on the implementation of the program. As part of this role, from time to time, the individual will provide litigation support on small claims cases.
This position requires excellent communication skills and an ability to manage and appropriately prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate would be well organized, detail-oriented, exhibit the ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality, and works well in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- BA/BS degree and/or paralegal certificate from a qualified program
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting litigation
- Experience supporting/working in eDiscovery.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders
- Supervising and reporting on vendor spend, cost savings, and other discovery and project related metrics
- Ability to manage cost on discovery and data review projects
- Experience with legal hold and document review tolls such as Relativity and Legal Hold Pro.
- Evidence and custodian organization and tracking, report generation, and project tracking
- Proficient in Excel and Power Point
