This role sits within the Product & Tech organization and directly partners with Product Managers, Business Analysts and Data Engineers and Product Data Scientists to help create valuable products for our users.
We’re looking for a highly skilled Product Analyst, who is passionate about turning data into valuable insights for our customers - insights that will help improve mobile.de’s core finding experience!
As part of a product development team in our Consumer Core Department, you generate insights from data and collaborate closely with your team to develop and evaluate new product ideas. As part of a highly skilled and agile analytics team, you will participate in sharing knowledge and developing shared standards and solutions around analysis, measurement and reporting across mobile.de and the larger eBay Classifieds organisation.
Together with the product manager you are responsible for the team’s product experiments: design experiments, analyse & interpret the results and communicate them to the organization.
Advise future experimentation design and roadmaps by performing exploratory analysis to understand user behavior and derive insights
Perform analytical deep-dives to analyze problems and opportunities
Extract meaningful information by analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional customer behavior data sets
Identify key trends and build dashboards to enable business partners to track progress of their initiatives
MSc or PhD in a quantitative field (Maths or experimental sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Psychology or similar)
2-4 years of proven experience in using data to facilitate product and business decisions.
Good understanding of web tracking (preferably Google Analytics) and A/B-testing tools (preferably Optimizely)
Proficiency in at least one data querying language (SQL or NoSQL-Databases), experience with BigQuery is a plus
Hands-on experience with one scripting language (R, Python)
Experience in self-service and reporting solutions (e.g. Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker)
Able to work independently and proactively engage with internal partners with minimal direction
Excellent analytical abilities with hands-on experience in experiment design and analysis, in-depth experience of -two of the following: Forecasting, Multivariate Analysis, Dashboarding, business reporting
An entrepreneurial attitude and the ability to switch between micro and macro level
Strong communication skills to share complex insights in a clear and simple language
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, German is a plus
