The Growth Adviser teammate will be responsible developing long-term relationships with Irish strategic sellers, to proactively enable marketplace growth. This will be achieved by development through tailored business plans to ensure each business achieves their growth goals on eBay.ie. The growth adviser will be the single point of contact for relevant queries and will perform monthly health checks and business reviews to ensure the success of each customer.

A drive for results is extremely important to the success of the role along with a high competency to be able to work within an extremely busy and consistently changing environment and under their own initiative.

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to sell through service, by up-selling, cross selling various products, features and promotions through a service and benefit based approach. Cross Border Trade will be hugely meaningful in this role as we support Irish business to expand beyond their domestic borders.

Core Duties

  • Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with customers
  • Help customers through email, phone, online and in person meetings
  • Develop a trusted adviser relationship with key customer, stakeholders and GCX leaders
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track account metrics
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations
  • Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis
  • Monitor and analyse customer’s usage of our products
  • Responsible for working with the BU to on-board and integrate new clients and developing existing client relationships
  • Liaise between the customer and internal teams

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation

  • Strong experience within a customer service, client relationship management environment or university degree plus three years experience.
  • 2 year commercial or sales experience within a fast paced target oriented environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
