We are looking for a Senior Risk and Controls Adviser for our complaints management risk and advisory program within eBay’s Global Customer Experience (GCX) Team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all aspects of the global complaints management process adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies, and ensuring that we are consistently responding to external requests in a timely manner with appropriate controls. You will drive the design of processes and controls intended to mitigate risk, ensure that controls are being performed and are effective, and report findings to management with recommendations for improvement to ensure adherence.

The candidate for this position will possess expertise in audit, compliance and/or regulatory matters, have experience designing and implementing effective programs and mechanisms, and is expected to develop a broad understanding of business and operations across the GCX organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Understand regulatory complaint management requirements
  • Establish/document internal policies, design, implement, and execute controls across the complaints management program
  • Discover, understand, and interpret trends in complaints volumes and its correlated drivers, recommend actions to drive improvements
  • Assist in implementing corrective actions while addressing process and control deficiencies
  • Perform complaints compliance assessment and control testing programs, share results
  • Lead teams to support compliance assessments and internal control testing

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in compliance, risk, audit, or related field in a payments focused environment, with Internal audit/external audit/advisory experience in a multi-national organisation preferred
  • CPA/CA, CIA, CFA, CISA or other professional certification a plus
  • Experience running program plans, tracking to completion, and coordinating between multiple business partners
  • Experience advising the design of complaints or other customer experience processes
  • Experience understanding and translating requirements, evaluating business processes and recommending suite of preventive and detective controls to effectively mitigate risk
  • Experience analysing data sets to gain insights
  • Experience with risk management practices and principles, including the identification, evaluation, documentation, and communication of risks
  • Experience carrying out control testing programs, including application of structured sampling methodologies and identification of testing procedures
  • Working knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements pertaining complaints management, to include FCA, CSSF, PSD2 Consumer Practices and more is a strong plus
