About the Team

This exciting opening in the trading team will be responsible for supporting the Head of Collectables in building, leading and delivering the end to end acquisition pipeline to optimise the inventory on the eBay platform within the Collectables field. This area includes but is not limited to collectable card games, coins, stamps, art and antiques and sports memorabilia. This will be a key role in the team; providing support to the other Category Mangers in the Collectables vertical and working to develop and execute the acquisition strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in identifying and onboarding sellers in both D2C and SMBs for relevant inventory to support the delivery of the Collectables strategy
  • Build long term, trusted and productive internal and external relationships at all levels to ensure flawless execution of strategic plans
  • Support sellers with the technical and commercial onboarding processes
  • Provide an understanding to sellers across B2C/C2C on promotional trading levers and tools (i.e. coupons, deals); traffic levers including owned/earned/paid marketing, PR, and advertising channels; and buyer experience capabilities to scale new sellers, brands & partners sustainably
  • Provide experience with insight of retail/the Collectables sector and an understanding of the overall market, and customers, across B2C and C2C
  • Use self-serve reporting tools (e.g. Hive, DOMO, TTP report, Planning tool reports) to analyse and summarise data, putting complex ideas into clear frameworks to bring results
  • Look for continual improvement to the acquisition framework, from how we identify leads, to engaging, on-boarding, and preparing these clients for promotional activities
  • Provide feedback, mentoring & coaching to the wider team.

Requirements

We would love to hear from you if you have retail/eCommerce experience ideally within the Collectables market or a demonstrable passion for this area. Key attributes for the role are:

  • Ability to create, manage & execute a sales pipeline sellers, brands and partners to successfully meet financial targets by acquiring & scaling a new inventory to the platform
  • Ability to influence and create enthusiasm within cross-functional planning forums for horizontal trade related initiatives, campaigns & propositions
  • Track record of building effective and strategic trading relationships with clients/suppliers/brands
  • The ability to apply influencing and negotiation skills with external businesses to build and maintain mutually beneficial commercial relations.
  • Experience of leading, coaching and motivating teams
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
