About the Team

This role will work on the Motors and B2B categories and will report to the Senior Category Manager. You will be responsible for working on key strategic projects and to execute these through working with strategically important sellers, brands and retailers and ensuring that eBay has the inventory to continue to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Build category and market expertise to identify and exploit opportunities for eBay and build inventory plans that will result in increased growth for the category
  • Specifically, manage the relationship with market data providers and build actionable insights from this data
  • Develop cross selling abilities for Motors and P&A buyers
  • Analyse ebay data to support strategic projects
  • Work with category managers to create a more B2B centric product offering to trade on the platform
  • Work with product teams on product releases and product planning requests
  • Develop expert understanding of sellers’ business operations and current strategies and utilise insight to find opportunities for growth
  • Develop the relationship with key sellers, brands and retailers within the portfolio and in line with the category strategy
  • Build inventory acquisition plan and utilise partner and internal teams resource onboard new inventory to meet buyer demand
  • Attend industry events to represent eBay

  • Ability to take large amounts of information and summarise the key insights from this information
  • Strong communicator, both verbally and in the building of presentations
  • Strategic thinker and self-starter with a strong action-orientation and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, be comfortable operating in a fast-paced online environment
  • Vertical experience in managing a category end to end
  • The ability to build internal and external relationships, crafting partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Strong presentation skills at all stakeholder levels
  • Operating with agility and easily adapting to change.
  • +7 year’s experience in retail/ecommerce management
