We are looking for an experienced Vertical Sales Manager to join one of the fastest growing teams at eBay to be based in London. We are seeking a target driven sales leader, ideally from an advertising or ecommerce background that can bring their drive and knowledge of advertising products and ecommerce to help build and grow a sales team responsible for driving growth for key sellers and brands with ebay Ads.

Responsibilities

  • Team leader and own the team targets and drive the team to achieve and exceed targets for assigned verticals
  • Formulate vertical sales strategy and vision for the team and drive the team to deliver on plan
  • Lead and motivate the team to plan and pitch solutions that the best support sellers in their verticals
  • Own and build relationships with vertical business teams to identify new opportunities for Ad business growth
  • Bring thought leadership on pitching ebay ad products to sellers/customers in different verticals.
  • Partner with marketing and other channel teams to identify opportunities for growing verticals.
  • Identify new growth opportunities for Ads business in partnership with core business leads.
  • Lead defining the BOB strategy for the team, that involves identifying the best opportunity set customers to include in BOB, BOB engagement strategy and influence other partner teams to garner support for essentials for strategy success.

Requirements:

  • Sales leadership experience: Extensive knowledge of digital media including a minimum of 5+ years of some combination of Sales / Service leadership experience.
  • Strategic sales planning: Develops multi-quarter and year plans that reflect an understanding of emerging opportunities, segments, and the competition. Regularly and systematically applies an understanding of business and financial concepts to selling and engaging customers.
  • Digital Advertising Expertise: Extensive knowledge of digital advertising strategies, platforms, advertiser value prop, and industry trends
  • Target Driven: Proven track record of exceptional performance, high productivity and meeting deadlines in a sales leadership role
  • Strong strategic thinker: Prior experience in developing and operationalizing joint business plans with customers. Demonstrates a deep understanding of the customer business and organisation, and works collaboratively to achieve solutions. Displays creative and reflective thinking and insight.
  • Communication: Demonstrates skills to engage audiences of all kinds. A genuine passion to inspire and connect, in a manner that is easy to understand about a wide set of opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Drives alignment across stakeholders via effective communication, measurement, organisation, and leadership.
  • People Coach: Proven track record of attracting and retaining high calibre talent and strong team culture.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Ability to effectively navigate through ambiguity and complexities of a growing business and seller management.
