Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Vertical Manager, you will be responsible for the GMB overall targets and specifically the trading objectives of the eBay Italy site, handling all trading-related activities for Home & Garden vertical for the Italy site:

  • Assisting the Senior Vertical Manager in the defining and scheduling campaigns in the retail calendar of the eBay Italy site

  • Lead H&G retail campaigns (e.g. DIY, Spring Gardening) and deals and/or tactical campaigns:

  • Acquire the best inventory selections from the local Seller and foreign Sellers to offer on campaigns to buyers

  • Define and implement appropriate landing experiences for each campaign

  • Be an excellent partner with the marketing department:

  • Provide mentorship on campaign targets

  • Provide product information for creation of marketing and trading assets (banners, etc.)

  • Provide feedback performance of traffic to trading events, to allow the marketing team to fine-tune their campaigns

  • Assure the execution of the Trading budget to support campaigns on the vertical, including the allocation per category and per seller

  • Reporting the performance of the campaigns: after the end of the campaigns, and periodically (daily or weekly) in terms of GMB generated, bought items and spend at category level and at seller level

  • Assist on H&G long-tail sourcing:

  • Recurrently supervise on-eBay and off-eBay sources of information (eBay trading tools, eBay top-searched keyword, eBay competitors’ benchmarking tools, Google Trends, general media and specialty retail publications, etc.) to be constantly aware of online retail trends and most purchased items by online buyers in the Italian market

Job Requirements:

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate excellence in the following:

  • Operational grasp: deliver actions to achieve/exceed GMB targets based on qualitative & quantitative insights from verticals’ knowledge and analytics

  • Business development: proactively explore new areas for inventory and GMB growth

  • Results-driven and autonomous: self-managed, hard-worker and capable of assuming individual responsibilities and challenges

  • Excellent teammate: work cross-functionally with Marketing, Seller Growth and any other business function to execute action plans

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in consumer e-commerce, with strong experience on delivering trading campaigns and buyer experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian

  • Strong e-commerce operational skills

  • Good relationship leadership skills
