We are looking for this rare combination of expertise in Machine Learning and passion for deploying to production reliable and efficient Machine Learning services at massive scale. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with researchers to invent, design and implement end-to-end reliable, scalable, efficient production services in Python, Java and Scala, using state-of-the-art big data and Machine Learning tools like Hadoop, Spark, Tensorflow, Scikit. Come and help us blow the boundaries of e-commerce through AI.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement and deploy Machine Learning technologies into reliable and scalable services.

  • Monitor and ensure life cycle maintenance of Machine Learning models and services.

  • Estimate engineering effort, plan feature implementations, and rollout complex
    RESTful services.

  • Push the bar to solve complex technical challenges of scale and performance.

  • Must be able to independently design code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.

  • Well versed in machine learning, information retrieval, applied statistics

  • Expertise in Deep Learning.

  • Experience with building Machine Learning models and working with libraries like Scikit, Tensorflow or FastText.

  • Hands-on industrial experience with big data processing using Hadoop, Pig/Hive or similar.

  • 2+ years of software design and development experience with languages such as Java, C++, Scala, Python.

  • Agility to adapt to emerging challenges and execute under ambiguity.

  • Familiarity with NoSQL database experience.

  • Agile development experience is a plus.

  • Self-motivated and fast learner. Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.
