THE ROLE

People are at the center of everything we do. Recruiting exists to fuel eBay’s success with the right talent through courage, drive, delivering our brand, innovation, and rich diversity. We are in search for a leader who will partner with ebay executives, primarily within our CTO and CPO organizations, to attract and engage with the most sought after executive talent.  This is a hands-on role, leading executive searches.  Also, this Director will lead a team of 3 seasoned researchers/sourcers to support comprehensive market mapping and search strategy.  This is a highly strategic role that will put our Candidates at the center of what we do and create experiences that inspire.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with ebay executives and people partners to create search strategies.

  • Advise and serve as thought partner to Hiring Managers throughout the search process, providing regular updates and high touch experiences.

  • Manage search firm partnerships, negotiate contracts, and manage processes to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Lead kick off meetings and search update meetings with leaders, people partners and search firms.

  • Assess executive candidates through screens, on-site interviews and panel feedback.

  • Lead executive researchers/sourcers to support market mapping, proactively pipeline and create innovative strategies to find the right talent.

  • Partner with compensation to create offer models, extend and negotiate offers.

  • Leverage recruiting technology to find, track, and share candidate intelligence.

Requirements:

  • Proven executive recruiter and leader who can lead searches across all functional areas.

  • Ability to lead and inspire a team, driving engagement and motivation around key searches with high impact to the business.

  • Builds strong partnerships with leaders and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience with creating recruiting strategies that  result in hiring strong talent.

  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to assess leadership capabilities and functional skills of candidates.

  • Experienced in presenting and negotiating complex offers.
