Stores is one of the fastest growing areas in eBay which in some ways, will define the future of eBay. eBay has always been a marketplace where sellers can not just grow their business but also grow their brand. eBay is reemphasizing this product strategy with the goal to become our seller's platform of choice.

About the Team:

Our Stores team works on elevating the seller presence in the entire eBay experience e2e and in helping our sellers build a community of buyers on ebay. We are looking to bring human commerce to eBay and become the platform that sellers choose to grow their business on. Part of this strategy is to determine how we can leverage and partner with 3rd party developers to accelerate the value we provide to our sellers. 

About the Role:

We are looking for passion for discovery & deploying to production innovative products. Your role will be help eBay connect into the ecosystem of social networking sites. Today our sellers (and buyers) are on social sites but are often not able to discover eBay inventory in that context. You will focus on building a deep understanding of how our users are engaging with various social sites and what tools eBay needs to provide them to make the current engagements easier.

Responsibilities:

  • Build deep customer empathy and understand how we can solve seller problems while solving eBay problems/ goals

  • Develop a product strategy for eBay to enable sellers to share their eBay store inventory across multiple social platforms

  • Execute & continuously ship enhancements to accomplish our sellers goals and ebay’s goals in this space

Requirements:

  • MS in Computer Science, MBA or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in social media is a must have

  • Be an industry expert in understanding how small businesses use social media to grow their business

  • Experience in launching products commonly used by small businesses

  • Strong analytical skills paired with a data-informed mindset; extensive AB testing experience

  • A design-thinking mindset, with a bias for action

  • At least eight years of industry experience in product management, shipping products for global markets 

  • Ability to work through ambiguity in order to drive to practical business impact
