Payments Financial Analyst

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting, Financial Analysis, Expense and Capital Management for the Payments organization.

Be a trusted and relevant business partner for the Payments Business that helps guide decisions and resource allocations by providing a clear understanding of the “ROI” of investments and business decisions:  ability to challenge based on trends and variance analysis

Own the monthly close and reporting process for expenses and headcount for Payments Business and cross-functional teams monthly financial close, journal entries, accurate financial reporting of expenses, and managing the headcount targets

Provide monthly reports comparing actual trends against budget and forecast assumptions for each budget owner

Understand accounting policies and accurate financial reporting/forecasting

Work closely with Controllership team to monitor compliance with GAAP, ensure that the relevant financial control processes are used and appropriate audit trail maintained at all times

Experience and qualifications required:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance

At least 3 years experiences in FP&A with business partnering experiences

Having knowledge of financial systems such as SAP BPC, SAP BW, Workday, Ariba, etc. is a plus

Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to partner effectively with teams across the organization

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to multi-task and manage tight timelines, willingness to work late hours during close and forecast cycle

The ideal candidate will have outstanding technical skills with spreadsheets, a solid understanding of basic accounting principles (debits and credits, accruals, journal entries, etc.), and demonstrated financial analysis capabilities
