Program Manager, Product Strategy & Operations

The Product Strategy & Operations team helps the organization identify, plan for, and execute on our highest priorities. In this critical role, you will program manage multiple workstreams within the Trust Initiative. The Trust Initiative focuses on improving our customer’s trust perception of eBay end to end, from consideration through post purchase. You’ll get to partner with workstream leaders, and stakeholders horizontally and vertically within the product organization and across engineering, legal, global customer service, and analytics to enable workstreams to deliver tangible improvements for our customers.

In this role you will:

  • Be a partner to workstream leaders, managing multiple complex workstreams, from conception and initiation to release.

  • Balance trade-offs between business needs with technical constraints; gaining alignment across partners along the way.

  • Anticipate, assess and manage issues and risks independently; perform root cause analysis and recommend mitigation plans as needed.

  • Ensure clear status reporting is happening at all levels, whether at the workstream level or with day to day team members.

  • Develop presentations and supporting documentation for various cadences and stakeholders.

  • Contribute to quarterly and annual strategic planning processes

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working experience with partners within Program/Product/Engineering/Trust/Ops organizations.

  • Ability to creatively lead through influence, drive opportunities, issue resolution, and process efficiency across complex cross functional organizations.

  • Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale cross functional projects in a product environment from conception through completion.

  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Outstanding project management skills.

  • Excellent presentation as well as verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate complex topics in clear layman’s terms across all levels.

  • Experience in e-commerce, commerce, or transactional business environments.

  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodology.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

  • Project management certification or demonstrated project management experience in a large scope, multi-function business environment.
