The iOS product development team is responsible for developing and deploying the eBay iOS apps (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch):

As an iOS Engineer, you will will get to work through the depth and breadth of experience in iOS, Objective-C, and XCode as well as get familiarity with the integration of network services. You will with a team of other developers, Quality engineers, designers and product managers to deliver on the slew of features planned for the year.

Minimum job requirements include
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related major
Strong applied experience. You’ve built, broken, and rebuilt software applications. We’re looking for creative thinkers who also know how to create real-world products.

All engineers are expected to exhibit and promote a high degree of excellence in the following areas:
Designing / giving functional and technical direction to a solution
writing clean code, exhibit software craftsmanship
Testing at all levels (unit, integration, UI and acceptance)

You will also be expected to:

Integrate closely w/ colleagues in San Jose and Portland
Enjoy being part of a team of motivated, collaborative, high-achievers
Communicate effectively within your team and across teams.
Identify project risks, quantify risk/benefit relationships and provide alternative solutions as well as risk mitigation

What we are looking for in candidates:
Already have some experience building IOS apps as hobby or on the job.
Comfortable with rapid development cycles, tight schedules, tight integration with QA and product management
Understanding of design patterns, and experience working in a layered architecture.
Strong work ethic – someone who takes great pride in professionalism, responsibility, and being proactive.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to work independently and the confidence to question where necessary.
