About the Team:

We are the Data Infrastructure org in the Core Technology group, building next generation eBay data platforms and products. We are looking for a Business Operations/Program Manager to manage the operations of a 200 people organization including communication, coordination, budget and operational excellence. The Data Infrastructure org is geo-distributed and passionate about building and maintaining data platforms and services. It is grounded in its purpose of innovation for making eBay itself work at-scale and efficiently, as well as enabling its internal analytics community.

Skills:

We are looking for someone with a strong data infrastructure background, excellent communication skills and experience in both strategic and collaborative operational management abilities. This individual will join the Data Infrastructure organization and will be the key person to define, implement and manage the org’s operating plan and strategy.

Become the group’s “force multiplier” coordinating internal operations and orchestrating operations excellence strategic projects. You will be responsible for the internal budget and communications with external collaborators on behalf of the org.

Support and implement the right level of operating structures/cadences and governance models that optimizes organizational execution. You should be high energy with strong operational skills, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver results. Executive presence and strong verbal and written communication skills is a requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Work hands-on with the executive and their leadership team to plan and implement the priorities of the organization
  • Ability to motivate team members, drive collaboration, partnership an & resolve conflicts among team members
  • Run cross functional working teams to drive accountability and ownership for all operations and budget related decisions
  • Inform, influence, and implement organizational strategies on behalf of the org and its leadership team; location, distribution, hierarchy, etc.
  • Work with leadership team to foster communications, transparency and cohesive culture in the organization

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • BS/MS in Technical or equivalent
  • 6+ years experience in operations or planning, preferably in software industry
  • Training in agile thinking, organizational strategy, operations management
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with ability to move quickly from insight to action
  • Executive presence and excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate sophisticated decision making
