We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Product manager to join our Risk Platform team to lead and define the Decision Platform Strategy for Risk management at eBay. Decision Engine is at the heart of every user interaction at eBay and channels the power of ML models, data aggregation layers, network graphs and contextual interactions to detect and remediate as needed. In scale, it figures in the top 3 systems at eBay by volume.

Reporting to the Director of Risk Platform, you will be part of the Risk Foundation Team and will be instrumental in driving the Decision platform capabilities to address ever-changing Risk trends.

What will you do:

Lead and drive the short and long term vision, strategy and development of the Decision Engine platform for Risk at eBay. You will be

Synthesize short and long term product ideas from cross-functional teams and other Risk counterparts like Identity, Policy, Policy Operations, Rule writers and Decision Sciences

Drive prioritization, product backlog grooming and roadmap creation with a team of PMs across our Core Technology and Domain teams.

Partner closely with Product Analytics team to collect data insights to measure improvements made to your products

Be the voice of and evangelize the Risk Decision platforms and capabilities across the team and the broader eBay organization

Supervise industry trends in emerging fraud trends in conjunction with cross-functional partners to identify new opportunities

Be a consultant/mentor for other PMs in the team

Role Requirements - The Basics:

Minimum of 6+ years of Product Management experience with expertise in one or more of following areas - Risk, Payments or e-Commerce

Experience in high volume, low-latency systems especially in the Risk/Fraud management space is essential

Bachelor’s degree, MS/MBA preferred

Ability to optimally prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment using a data-driven and analytical approach.

Ability to lead multiple complex projects across cross-functional, distributed teams and multiple client groups

Experience with product development lifecycle, process flows and working in an agile environment

Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and proven ability to influence senior management across different organizations

Ability to earn credibility of and work with senior engineers and engineering leaders

Ability to articulate and present everything from early concepts to full product launch plans to your team, as well as to external and executive audiences and defend your Point of View in the face of disagreement

Standout colleague with empathy for our customers (both internal and external) and desire to understand their needs, wants and concerns

Ability to influence both Product and Engineering teams outside of their own organization

Self-starter with the ability to present/assert/pursue independent ideas and drive them to execution with minimal mentorship; think strategically and execute tactically
